The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

All metal prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with mounting hooks and nails.

Platinum crystal. Coloured field-ion micrograph of a platinum crystal. This high magnification micro- scopy technique enables the fine atomic structure of the crystal to be determined by the many overlapping geometrical patterns produced here. Platinum metal is used to make jewellery, laboratory ware, electrical contacts, thermo- couples, and catalysts for a variety of reactions. Platinum is a malleable, ductile, unreactive metal with a high melting point and electrical resistance. It can be found naturally as nuggets in sulphide ores but is fairly rare.
