Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Protozoan ingesting rotifer. Phase contrast light micrograph of an Actinosphaerium sp. heliozoa protozoan, showing rotifers (centre) that it has ingested. This single-celled freshwater organism has many pseudopodia radiating outwards from its cell body that are used for capturing prey. A peripheral layer of large vacuoles assist in floatation. Rotifers are microscopic aquatic animals that are related to roundworms. Magnification: x200 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
